Cultural Center doors open and the FREE Tsunami Walking Tour begins. Participants meet at the Kamome Mural on Play Street in Crescent City. Pre-registration is required.

9:30am-2:30pm

The Del Norte County Library will be providing FREE Japanese inspired books for all of the bookworms out there looking to expand their collection.

10:00am

Del Norte High School Japan Club offers Calligraphy, games, Onigiri, hot tea, and t-shirts/hoodies for sale throughout the day.

10:00am-10:45am

Traditional Japanese Swordmanship demonstration by Southern Oregon Iaido Club.

11:00am

FREE authentic origami making workshop with the Crescent City Friendship Association (from Rikuzentakata, Japan). Learn about the traditional meaning behind the craft and create your own keepsake.

11:30am

Ceremonial sword cleaning with Southern Oregon Iaido Club.

12pm-6pm

Food Trucks will be on site serving up some delicious Kamome-inspired meals.

12:30pm

The Sakura Obon Dance Group will demonstrate a traditional Bon Dance.

1:30pm

Humboldt Taiko will teach participants how to make their own Taiko drum for FREE. Pre-registration is required.

2:30pm

Doors must close to get ready for the Humboldt Taiko Concert at 5PM.
