
Join us and 21 delegates from our Sister City, Rikuzentakata, for an unforgettable Japanese-inspired culinary experience, part of the annual Kamome Festival. The 2026 Kamome Festival will come to a head with an unforgettable evening filled with great food, drinks, entertainment and the inspiration of hope from the story of Kamome. This event is hosted by the Kamome Foundation and all proceeds will go to support the Kamome Foundation and High School Japan Club's exchange program.
The evening will begin with beer, wine, and sake complemented by local cheese boards and oyster appetizers followed by Japanese cuisine tasting and desserts.
Guests will enjoy a silent auction benefiting the Del Norte High School Japan Club, an art show hosted by DNACA, as well as entertainment from a couple of Junior World Champion Shamisen artists from Rikuzentakata, Japan and cultural dancing; both promising to make this a truly memorable celebration of Japanese culture and community.

Beer/Sake/Oyster tasting with silent auction and art exhibit. Guests will get to try the Kamome Ale from SeaQuake Brewing Co., Oregon craft sake from Sake One, and fresh Humboldt Bay Oysters with Ponzu sauce prepared by Schmidt's House of Jambalaya. We will also be serving wine.
Silent auction, benefiting the Del Norte High School Japan Club and art show hosted by DNACA begins at 5:30 PM and continues until 8:15 PM.
6:30 - 7:30 PM Enjoy Japanese-inspired small bites with locally sourced ingredients and a screening of the Kamome documentary.
7:30 - 8:30 PM Guest speakers and a Shamisen musical performance and cultural dance performance ends this incredible evening supporting local students and the Kamome Foundation.
